How Can It Help? Aconitum Napellus and Bryonia Alba

by | Jan 23, 2023 | Benefits, How Can It Help?

Aconitum napellus also known as Monkshood is a remedy for rapid action. Bryonia alba also known as Wild hops is the opposite … not so rapid in action, but when Aconitum has done its work, Bryonia will pick up from there and go deeper.

Aconitum napellus also known as Monkshood is a remedy for rapid action. Great for emergencies and acute diseases. It grows high up in the mountains where it can be cold and windy, lots of storms. Great remedy for fear, shock and sudden illness with or without a high fever.

Bryonia alba also known as Wild hops is the opposite… not so rapid in action, but when Aconitum has done its work, Bryonia will pick up from there and go deeper. Dryness is one of the characteristics of Bryonia.  Dry mouth, dry stools, dry nose, dry cough.  Some things it is well know for are joint pains and pneumonia.

Bryonia I have used for nosebleeds  from dryness, in a 30c, every other day, until the tendency is gone.

I have used these remedies separately such as Aconitum in a SHOCKING situation, like after an accident or calming a child down who had a severe injury, and Bryonia for a nose bleed; but also together at any sign of sickness like a cold.

For Shock I use  Aconitum generally in a 200c.  usually one dose is all that is needed for an acute case.

If someone had a shocking event in life such as war or some other trauma, I may consider using it once a day in a 200c, or when the old shocking situation is triggered again, such as  in a nightmare.

And as an aside, we raise livestock and we put the remedy in their water the day before a storm which may drop the temp considerably and rapidly as well as very windy.  This has helped  prevent  pneumonia in most cases.

P.S. HERE’S A QUICK TIP: When I feel like I am coming down with a cold/flu I will use them together, at the same time in my mouth, (Aconite 200c + Bryonia 30c) every hour for 4 doses and see how I feel. It may have already aborted it and if not, give it another dose or two that day if I have seen some improvement, and then twice a day the following day. See what symptoms shows up next and treat appropriately, but you might be better by then.  🙂
